Our Friends at Fextralife Unveil a Dedicated Space for Custom Content

The modding community is increasingly more expansive or highly requested as it is now. Developers who built innovative systems for classics such as Skyrim and Baldur’s Gate III have secured significant positions in gaming. Entire games were created using existing foundations. Someone even figured out how to make Silksong slightly less challenging.

Indeed, in this period, all things look feasible with an idea, coding skills, and some determination. Hence, it’s understandable that more of the industry is looking to support that continuously expanding modification scene, and that our partners at Fextralife are getting in on the action. On Tuesday, the wiki site revealed it would broaden its services with FXMods, a “brand-new gaming mod platform created for players who want a speedy, complimentary, and unlimited modifications to enrich their favorite games.

FXMods promises to be a free platform with no download speed throttling, no queue, and connection to the larger Fextralife wiki system, which intends to permit developers to obtain increased recognition as players find their content alongside additional resources.

What is the goal for FXMods? I asked the Fextralife representative Matt Hook, who has been knee-deep in shepherding the expansion.

“What we're doing here is genuinely aiming to focus on the community’s needs,” Hook states. “We want a great experience for those downloading mods to be able to access modifications swiftly and simply, and we want to compensate content developers and participants in the scene with credit and benefits.”
